March is Women’s History Month and I always love finding new materials to help Colette and Wesley learn about the accomplishments of women. But today is International Women’s DAY so wanted to dive deep into how we can celebrate women together in multiple ways!
Today is a global celebration of the economic, political, and social achievements of women past, present, and future. In hopes that it also inspire a new generation of young women in our lives to do the same we have to teach our children about these movements. As parents, we may good intentions of educating our children about these important figures but at times it’s hard to find resources that our kids will love. After all, there are so many amazing women so the materials should be too. I’ve found kid-friendly books, movies, and a social media challenge that feature strong, successful women that all kids (gender and age) will enjoy!

#ChooseToChallenge
This year there is a social challenge going around to make the day even more special, #ChooseToChallenge. The hashtag is meant for social media and show how you’re working towards a more inclusive future. So raise your hand up high with your palms out and show how you or your children are working towards that goal!
