After a very long and trying year, we are looking to book our first family vacation in over two years! I’ve rounded up our go to spots as well as a few locations that we’re hoping to travel to in the next couple of months.
Charlotte, N.C.
We spent three blissful years in Charlotte, N.C. and cannot wait to go back! I highly recommend staying at the Ballantyne Hotel. Book a spa service, reserve a tee time, and let the kids enjoy the pool. Then pick up Ducks Donuts for breakfast, Viva Chicken for lunch, and Futo Buta for dinner!
East Hampton, N.Y.
The Hamptons is like visual therapy, and we could all use some this summer! We always like to hit Main Beach for some early morning walks and daluphin sightings, then head to Coche Comedor for an outdoor lunch, then the playground at Herrick Park and end the day with getting a lobster roll to go and watch the sunset beach side (oh and sneak in some shopping on Main st.).
Disney World
Remember our first family trip to Disney?! We LOVED staying at Fort Wilderness! The RV campsite was exactly what our family needed. The onsite laundry room, resort transportation, and nightly shows were perfect for out little ones that still needed nap time and helped me keep to our $2,000 budget by letting me meal plan and cook!
New York, N.Y.
Myles has to go to NYC for work on a monthly bases, and he has seen first hand that that NYC is well, calm right now. So we’re planning a quick trip there to soak up all the museums, gardens, and food spots Myles and I would hit when we were dating. Best advice would be to book a hotel in Westchester, NY and take the train in to save on cost.
BANFF, A.B.
Since the boarder is closed we won’t be able to travel to anywhere in Canada soon, but a girl can dream. And the first place we will be visiting will be to see Myles’s family and then we will be vacationing in Banff. We always stay at the fabulous Fairmont in Banff Springs. Winter or summer, it’s the perfect place for a family vacation.
Cape Cod, M.A.
Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Course is one of our favorite spots in M.A. and cannot wait to book a vacation there. This is another great New England family vacation spot that everyone will love because of the ocean front views, pools, golf and spa amenities.
Rosemary Beach, F.L.
30A is such a beautiful place to vacation and I truly have fallen in love with Rosemary Beach. The Pearl Hotel is where you want to book your stay and don’t forget to hit Edward’s for date night!
Monterey, C.A.
Monterey is one of our favorite family vacation spots because there is so much do to do for the kids and parents. We always rent a home close to the water. The kids loved the Aquarium and then we walked on over to the Hula’s Grill for lunch. Of course you can’t go to Monterey without hitting the wineries and local wine tastings.
