We’re a day away from our family trip to Vail, Colorado! We are so excited to hit the slopes and sip on hot cocoa. If you need a list of what to pack for a winter wonderland vacation, look no further! I’ve created a guide on what to pack for your trip to Vail.
First and foremost, you’re going to need the right suitcases to get all of the things you pack there safely. Vail is known for its cold temperatures, so you’re going to need to pack layers that you can easily take on and off. A warm jacket, gloves, hat, and scarf are essential items to keep you comfortable while exploring the snowy town. Times that by three and a little organization, one large suitcase and two carry-on size pieces of luggage should do.
Next, pack appropriate footwear. You’ll want to bring waterproof boots with good traction to navigate the snow-covered streets and trails. It’s also a good idea to bring a pair of comfortable Ugg boots after wearing ski boots.
Don’t forget to pack your ski or snowboard gear if you plan on hitting the slopes. If you don’t own any gear, consider renting from a local shop to save space in your luggage.
Lastly, bring any necessary toiletries and medications, and don’t forget your camera to capture all the beautiful scenery Vail has to offer. Below is a few items I packed for the kiddos.
